Evey couple of days I add new location to my list of location in FreeFileSync in order to have them monitored from then on in RealTimeSync, thus automatically backed on my archival drive. And unfortunately every time I have to select once more e.g. the
Run minimized
opion when generating a FFS_BATCH file - because apparently choosing Save Aa of a FFS_GUI file prior to this wipes the memory of previously selected options available in the export window of Save as Bach Jobs feature

Why cannot this window remember always the previously chosen settings and / or why are not users able to pre-define default settings for it somewhere in Tools or Actions?

Either "save as ffs_batch", or just "save", then batch-specific settings won't be lost.

The whole chain for updating for me [when adding a new location for monitoring] requires from me creation of FFS_GUI, FFS_BATCH and FFS_REAL file. And every time I have to once again select e.g. the
Run minimized
despite me saving / re-generating

You only need to "create" a FFS_BATCH and FFS_REAL file, not also a FFS_GUI file.

And only when you create an FFS_BATCH file from scratch (by clicking New in the FFS GUI Configuration window) or save a modified existing FFS_GUI file as a FFS_BATCH file, you would need to click e.g. Run Minimized.
If you open an existing, saved FFS_BATCH configuration, modify it and then use Save As Batch-file, then "batch-specific settings won't be lost", as Zenju wrote.

You make it sound like it is a lot of effort and you would need to do this hundreds of times.
If you really (think you) have to do this hundreds of times, I dare to say you are using FFS and RTS in a very non-smart way, and seriously need to revise how you organize your syncs in terms of the folder-tree level at which you define your left and right base-location(s), and how you use the Include and/or Exclude Filter.

Hundreds? No. Dozens? Yes

I do not trust blindly and jump into allowing any program to potentially affect all of my data from the get go. As with everything [like for example in case of my recent migration of my XXX passwords to KeePassXC] I do it in packets / parts, checking out if everything is A-OK, so to not waste time on setting up a program which I then relatively quickly ditch

As fot the core of the issue: it seems it it the saving as a FFS_GUI file that is causing those options to revert to default
