Hello, I tried to sync 2 folders 1TB each with photos and videos on 2 different hard drives. When I started the comparison it showed that it would take about 22 hours just to compare. Is this normal?

Doesn't sound like it.
What type of comparison & sync are you running?
Anything peculiar with the HDD's?

There is nothing strange about them, they are new. Comparison is by "file content", the sync is "mirror".

Did you actually let the sync run?
And does it seem like it will in fact take 22 hours (might as well just call it a day ;-)?
(I actually misread your "1TB", so actually in doing a content compare, 22 hours might not be out of the realm of possibility.)
Comparing contents takes days
(Interesting read, jdupes.)
