FreeFileSync V.13.0
I have 2 parameter files to perform identical, mirror, synchronisations with 2 external drives. The only difference is the drive letter (checked by opening the files in Notepad and running a compare utility) for each of the 10 parameter lines.
If there's nothing to synchronise one parameter file gives the end of compare message "Showing 0 of 4,684 items". The other reports "No files to synchronise".
Clearly there must be some difference that's causing this but I have no idea. Occurred with V.12.5 as well.
I've attached the 2 parameter files. The filename ending in "black" gives "Showing 0 of 4,684"; the one ending in "blue" gives "No files to synchronise".
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Inconsistent "End of Compare" message

It depends on your (GUI) "View", the "=" (sign icon, bottom, center)".
If in the GUI, you display "=" (equal) files, it will show 0 of 4684.
If in the GUI, you do not display "=" files, it will show, "No files to synchronise".

Thanks for pointing me to look at the bottom of the GUI window. The "View" was the same for both. What I then noticed was a ! on the Show Log icon at the bottom left. Looking at the log showed me there was a sub-folder missing in the destination tree, but it was empty.
So there was something to sync, but as the folder was empty, no files.
Many thanks
