I have a directory on internal harddisc and want to copy it with FreeFileSync to another external harddisc.
The directories and files are sorted by absolut path in alphabetic order.
I wanted to copy them to the new external harddisc.
So I started the sync job and it looks fine.
Because the job takes much time, I stopped it after the half of processing time. On the next day I wanted to continue the Sync job.
I compared both directories again, the file list looks correct und start the job.
FreeFileSync does not start at the first missing folder and file.
It started with a foldername and file which was not at the begin of the list. Why does FreeFileSync could not copy the folder and files in alphabetic order, if I continue a sync job?
Does it use special copy methos to optimize sync speed?
Sync does not start at the first file in the compare list

The sorting method you apply to the Compare results does not affect the syncing sequence.
