This is excellent backup software

I was looking for a backup program that would have the following characteristics:

1. The backed up files could be opened on another computer without having to have the original backup program installed.

2. It would save old versions of files.

3. It would not take a lot of time to do a backup.

FreeFileSync was the perfect solution. It took me awhile to find it, because it didn't show up when I searched for "backup" in my Linux distro's software center.

The fact that I can configure it to save old versions of files or deleted files has saved me from my own stupid mistakes a couple of times.

After installing it, I learned that it works in Windows, and supports multiple languages, so I set it up in Spanish on my wife's Windows computer.

It's super fast. It takes only 1 minute to back up all my personal files.
