Switch to Portable Version

Hello,

I am using FreeFileSync Donation Edition for many years now.
Now I consider switching from the installed version to the portable version.

Are there any limitations in the Portable Version of FreeFileSync?
Are the settings (not the sync profiles) stored in the folder of the EXE?
Is there anything else that I should consider?

I'm looking to try the latest FFS via a portable version.
I dont want to immediately erase my very old installed version (7.x) that I stuck with for years.

Is there a portable version for that in the free version? Or in the donation version only?

Can anyone give me an idea of how much the donation amount should be until I receive a portable version?

I pay the recommended fee (20 Euro for one year) because FreeFileSync is my backup tool and I want to honour the work of the programmer.
