Nexus 7 Internal Storage

When trying to sync a folder on local PC to internal storage on Nexus 7 (32 GB), message is received "The the folder is not valid" while selecting destination folder. The tablet is connected over USB and I am able to add, move, and delete files on Nexus using windows explorer. Any ideas? Thank you.
