Full path on destination folder as blank

I think it's essential to display the full file path, including the designated location where the new item will be copied. The empty trail is confusing.

Hm. I'm not sure. It might be cleaner to not show anything when a file or folder doesn't exist (= current behavior). Your screenshot only shows the left side, but the user always sees both sides, which gives the needed context.

You are right, Perhaps there isn't a universal solution that suits everyone. How about considering it as a feature that users can choose to enable or disable? After all, other tools with synchronized panes (though none as effective as FFS) do display the path and name, sometimes in a grayed-out format. your discretion.

In your suggestion, what do you like FFS to do if it's disabled?
Personally, I agree with Zenju, that I find leaving blank spaces cleaner... except for moved files, where a lot of double entries can be confusing, especially since there's no filter for them.
