I work with a mac (MacOsX Mojave 10.14) and I could't change the default application to open a file with FFS (with "1" when the file is selected).
The default application to open JPG files is "Aperçu" (Preview in english) and I want to open my JPGs with "Graphicconverter12"
I tried to modify Menu → Tools → Options → Customize context menu and to replace "macOS: open -R "%local_path%" with "macOS: open -R /Application/Graphiconverter12" in place of "%local_path%" but it is not memorized and it doesn't work...
Thanks in advance for any help.
How to bypass the default external application to open files?

This question seems completely unrelated to FreeFileSync (or RealTimeSync).

Well, it sounds like OP is setting a command line option for the context menu, which is related to FFS obviously. They seem to be saying that the command doesn't work and isn't saved by FFS. I wonder if FFS detects that the command is incorrect, thus it doesn't save it. OP, I would use Terminal instead to test and figure out what the correct command line and syntax is before setting anything up in FFS
