App crashes when I close the donation window

The FreeFileSync app crashes/closes instantly when I click the X close button or the Close button in the window.

The following appears in terminal when I launch freefilesync via terminal and click close:
~$ freefilesync --sync
The program 'FreeFileSync_x86_64' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.

(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

I am running Pop_OS! Cosmic Alpha (Ubuntu 24.04) on an x86 laptop. As this could likely also be an issue in Pop_OS! Cosmic Alpha, I will be posting this on their forum as well.
