I have two 4TB Samsung T7 Shield SSDs. I mirror the primary drive to the secondary drive so that I have a backup of all my work at all times however I have noticed huge mismatches in reported sizes and available free space.
For example this is what is currently reported:
T7 Shield_1
Available = 1.42 TB
Used = 2.58 TB
T7 Shield_2
Available = 15.37 GB
Used = 3.98 TB
Please can someone help identify and resolve this issue?

I know you are on Mac OS, but:

I do know that MacOS and the filesystems they use do a bit of weird stuff.

Time Machine is a common source of these discrepancies. You can use a program like "Disk Inventory X" to get another angle of the disk usage
