Can't sync files with QAT extension

I want to sync my Office customizations. They are in files with the officeUI and QAT extensions (for ribbon and quick access toolbar changes). Using the path and a filter for word.* the officeUI is included in the backup but not the QAT. Similarly, if I filter with *.qat and *.officeUI, I only get the officeUI files in the sync. I don't want to back up everything because there is so much in the subfolders that I don't want.

Are these changes you are making in the include filter?
Can you provide a screenshot of these filters?

Perhaps these *.qat files are locked by MSoffice as long as any MSoffice application is open.
Try closing ALL MSoffice applications and then run your sync.
Conversely, you can try using VSS.

@xCSxXenon I don't see a way to post a screenshot, I'm using the Filter tab in the Synchronization Settings dialog. It has two rows in the Include text box:
*.officeUI
*.qat

I also tried them in the reverse order. The officeUI files are synchronized. The qat files are not synced.
