Using Mirror, I'm updating a USB flash drive that was created during Daylight Savings, but today is Standard time. FFS reports that all the time stamps on the USB flash drive differ from the source. They are, of course, exactly one hour apart.
So, FFS is updating every file on the flash drive. In reality, there are only a small number of files that are actually different. The puzzling thing is that I do some nightly sync runs between my PC, USB drives, and Google Drive that encompass hundreds of Gb each, and they didn't do complete updates when the time changed, only the files that were new or revised. This behavior appears to be something unique to flash drives.
It's not a big deal, other than having to wait a couple of hours for the update to complete. Still, is there anything I can do to avoid this in the future?
How FFS deals with Daylight Savings vs Standard Time
