Wait while the folder is in use

Recently I have had the following problem (when mirroring to a NAS).
Starting with a clean slate works well.
On the next attempt to mirror, the message "Wait while the folder is in use appears and nothing" is done.
How to solve?

Are you able to explore that same pairs of folders from within Windows Explore (or whatever is appropriate) or does W/E also give a "Wait" message?
