Avoid countdown before comparing?

How could I avoid the countdown before comparing? And why is there one when there is one sync / comparison at the same time?

What countdown? I click compare and FFS starts its scan comparison.

The countdown shown on the left side in the address bar where the folder path is shown at the top. Usually shown only - as far as I know - when another sync / compare is active using the same folder(s).
