Synchronizing does not come to en end

I have been having this issue for several months now... where it starts, does all the comparisons, mirrors what I need but it gets stuck at the very end. As I report this, it has 8 files = 23.1Mb left and it does not finish... the clock keeps counting time, but no progress whatsoever. Many times I reboot my PC and I do the sync again and it does the comparison and finishes the job. What could be causing this?
