I recognized, that renamed files in FFS seem not to be detected as "renamed".
As a result, FFS deletes the old file and copies the new file.
This is problematic, when a complete folder is renamed and Versioning is activated.
Here FFS deletes the old folder (in my case 1.2 GB) and copies the new folder.
I also think that the 1.2 GB are then in the "backup history" (versioning).
I make a backup of my data partition to two external HDDs and also to a online storage.
So here the 1.2 GB are copied 3 times and also versioned 3 times.
Therefore, I cancelled the sync and renamed the 3 target folders, so FFS does not detect the folder as "something changed here".
The last weeks I often have renamed folders, because my wife completely reorganizes the folder structure.
The annoying thing is, that I have to
• start the compare
• rename some folders on my 3 target devices
• start a second compare
• recognize, that I have forgotten to rename a folder, so I rename the folder on my 3 target devices
• start a third compare
• start the sync
When FFS detects renamed files/folders and also indicates this clearly, then I just have one compare and one sync.
