My environment:
Windows 10 home, version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5555)
FreeFileSync Version 14.2 64 Bit Donation Edition
Source drive contains a folder named "Test" with one text file in it named "Raystest.txt".
Destination drive contains an empty folder named "Test".
Using the FFS gui, I attempt to update the folder named "Test" on the target drive.
Before starting the target drive I update, I open the target drive and the target folder named "Test".
I start the update.
First, I see a file named "sync.ffs_lock" appear
Then I see a file named "Raystest-4ebf.ffs_tmp" appear
And that's it.
It never goes any further.
The procedure never completes. (The file named "Raystest-4ebf.ffs_tmp" needs to be renamed to "Raystest.txt" and the files named "sync.ffs_lock" needs to be removed.
But neither thing ever happens.
The FreeFileSync UI shows "Synchronizing" and a bar keeps moving across the UI but it never completed.
It will do this forever.
No log files are ever created.
If I try to end FreeFileSync the application hangs and "FreeFileSync_64.exe" stays in memory and cannot be ended.
The only option I have is to restart the Windows 10 pc.
It's important to note that I can manually copy the file "Raystest.txt" from the source drive to the folder named "Test" on the target drive without issue.
I'm so confused.
Any ideas ?
I'd sure appreciate some help.
Thanks.
I've attached an image of what I see when the "Synchronizing" process is occurring.
File update never finishes. FreeFileSync_x64.exe stay running until I restart the pc.

This has been resolved.
I needed to grant FreeFileSync access to my Google account.
I have been using FFS for a couple of years now to sync my laptop to my Google drive.
A week or so ago, FFF began behaving badly during an update to my google drive.
After some trial and error, I discovered FFF no longer had access to my Google account (for some reason).
Anyway, things are working great once again.
