Install on Kali Linux running x86_64

I have been trying to install FreeStyleSync on my Kali VM, I download the tar.gz file from the site, extract it, then double click on the .run file but nothing happens. There are no other screens appearing when I do this. Is FSS actually installed, or should I have see some configuration questions? If it isn't installed can someone assist me with this?
