Maybe AutoStart, Maybe Not

I use SmartBackup and FreeFileSync daily, automatically, shortly after my two PCs boot up. Each computer runs Win 10 Pro. Recently something started randomly rescinding the auto start for one or both of the programs--sometimes daily, sometimes only occasionally, but often enough for me to have to resort to using them manually. Is anybody out there aware of anything that could do this? I use paid Malwarebytes and free Avast One to help keep everything clean, and I generally practice safe browsing and downloading.
