FFS causing crashes?

I used FFS a long time ago and loved it. I just installed it on my current computer and it seemed to cause crashes after about 15 min. I could reboot and 15 min later, crash. Got a weird screen with a QR code that led to a 'file not found' page with the crash. Tried to do a warm reboot and pc said there's no bootable drive. Had to do a hard reboot. According to Task Manager, the Microsoft Windows Search Indexer was going crazy using 10-15% of cpu before crashes. I deleted FFS and the crashing stopped and MSWSI went back to 0 cpu usage.

I'm not complaining. I was able to get my files synched in the 15min gaps between crashes. I would love to keep FFS on my computer. Anyone know if there's a setting or easy fix to this issue?

I'm using windows 10. Sorry if this issue has been addressed before.

99.999% chance that FFS isn't causing the crash directly. It might be using a Windows API, and Windows has some corruption causing a crash, or some other program is interfering with FFS, such as third-party antivirus programs. If you aren't using Windows Security solely, try disabling, or better yet, removing your third-party antivirus entirely. If not, probably worth checking drive health, running sfc/dism repairs, and possibly even an in-place upgrade/repair for Windows.

FFS was not the problem! Turns out backing up files uses a lot of cpu leading my pc to over heat. Just turned out that I happened to be using FFS to backup my pc. Replaced the thermal paste and cleared out the dust bunnies and no crashes so far.
