I'm having so many problems using the FreeFileSync tool. Is there anyway I can do a 1-1 chat with someone the help me get through this? I can't talk on the phone because I had a stroke, but 1-1 chat or even email would work for me. I'm trying to keep 2 4TB hard drives in sync, where one is a mirror image that NEVER gets changed except by FreeFileSync. I keep getting messages about conflicts that couldn't possibly happen. E.g., the file changed on both the drives. But it hasn't changed. When I click on the "Switch" button to resolve the problem, it takes me to a complicated screen that takes forever to refresh each time and that has nothing to do with the conflict and no guidance of what to do. I have over 400,000 files on my drives and there's no way I can search for each file in the list. Plus, as soon as I click the "switch" button, the dialog box disappears so I can't even to back to find out what file it was complaining about. But to make it really irritating, there's no option to pause the sync process so I can deal with the problem later and I'm burdened with the non-stop beeping from the message boxes. Clicking "Ignore All" doesn't help; the same problem report keeps returning.
Seems like it should be such a simple and straight forward process to sync two drives, but I'm having so many issues and FreeFileSync is, by far, the best option I've found. I want to make it work for me.
I'm a retired computer and software engineer who had a successful career, but I'm stumped on this one.
Really frustrated

I don't get it. You replied to me three times so far and didn't try once to help. What on Earth was the point of sending me a link to just points back to my original question?

You double posted, I'm assuming by accident, so I was linking the other thread from here.I don't get it. You replied to me three times so far and didn't try once to help. What on Earth was the point of sending me a link to just points back to my original question? SixSigmaGuy, 05 Jun 2025, 14:06
Please, don't reply to this thread, as it would off-topic from the already duplicated title
