Sorry, i can't figure it out. I tried a few variations, but to no avail. What would be the proper syntax?
*.descript.ion or \descript.ion\ don't work.

If you are not sure how to correctly exclude files from your sync, you can run a Compare in the FreeFileSync (FFS) GUI, select the item you want to exclude and then right-click on that item.
There you select "Exclude via Filter", and then select in what form to exclude items.
This will add the item in the correct form to your filter.
By clicking on the Filter (F7) button (the red funnel-icon), you can then inspect the correct format.
