How to reset user/password

Is there a way to force FFS to reset existing user/password and prompt for a new one? I have been using FFS for a couple of years with a user/password for another computer on the local network when it stopped working. I realize that something else may be going on but I'd like to troubleshoot the user/password first.

Assuming Windows, open the Credential Manager and manually edit the credentials for your network resource at stake, or delete those credentials and newly create the correct credentials the next time you (try to) access that network resource.
