Best OS to use FFS with

Hi,
Thanks for the software. I have been testing with the FFS for sometime now and it is working great. I have been using it in a Windows Computer.

I am planning to set up a dedicated computer for file storage and Backup with Backblaze where I can plug in all my other drives and sync them to the hard drive of this computer and back them up with Backblaze.
It can be either a Windows or a MAC computer. Which one do you think will be best for this job.

Does FFS work better with Windows or it doesn't really matter?

I use a mixture of Windows and Mac computers and I am happy to set up either for this job but preferably one that works best with FFS. Unfortunately it cannot be Linux as Backblaze doesn't work with linux.

Hi,
You can load open SSH server on either the Mac or on Windows and it really shouldn't make a difference which one You choose to use they should both work.

Personally I use Windows and linux

OS doesn't matter much, as long as FFS can be installed. I will say, the external factors kind of dictate which OS is "best". If you know how to mount storage in any OS, they're all the same

Thanks for the replies. I have opted for Debian Linux instead and it is working great. Since Backblaze Personal doesn't have Linux client I have to now find a B2 solution or something else.

If you're on Debian Linux and using backblaze I would go with what I use which is rclone. You can use a gooey front end like rcloneView.
You will be able to successfully Mount Your cloud storage and use free file sync to backup your data to the cloud that's how I do it every day.
