Trying to make sure I'm using the optimal settings.
Comparison:
It seems like file content is the best option to be sure that you have all of a file and the latest. Does it take longer to run this type of scan? Does it do like a CRC check for the two files?
File Size: Does it just transfer the file if it is larger or smaller? What if the new file is smaller?
I use the mirror option and there is a checkbox to use a database file to detect changes. Would that also help improve performance? Does it save a DB file on both source and destination?
Thanks for your time.

File contents compares the bits. It will always be significantly longer than the others. Comparing sizes is just to determine if the files are different, it has nothing to do with what action is determined to be necessary. There are certainly files that can have the same size but different content, meaning these differences would get missed by FFS using that setting.
