Hi,
Your product is amazing. I am wondering if it is possible to still allow the 'main window' to be parsed (to see what the matches were) during a Sync. Right now, when the 'sync window' is up, showing the progress bar, the main window is frozen in place. For extremely long syncs (large files), it would be great to be able to see what is coming up, or done.
Thanks!

I vote yes. Real time, less-than-accurate temp log information displayed and accessible for viewing while working, while scanning would be awesome to relieve anxiety.

I agree, that would be great!

Just a remark here:
The sequence in which the left and right Compare results are shown (you can even sort those according to your choice), bears no relation to the sequence in which FreeFileSync syncs files.
So, I am not sure if there is a benefit of the requested feature.

The benefit, even if they don't track, is that if one clicks SYNC instead of COMPARE to save the time, there is no way to parse the list. This way, you could see the changes during the sync.

No, the list is not updated during the sync phase.
It is and remains the list as before the sync phase is started.

Hi there - YES, completely understood. But a user cannot see the list at all if you click SYNC instead of COMPARE. If you click SYNC to do a "compare+sync" the list cannot be reviewed at all, until after the fact, because that populated window cannot independently operate during the sync. That's all I was asking is that the list be accessible during SYNC.

If you desire to view the comparison list, why in the world would you click directly on 'sync' instead? If you want to parse the comparison results, you should click the compare button.

Because the sync needs to happen; but it would be nice to see what's what; particularly when its taking forever to do the copying.
Didn't realize that asking that the main window remain accessible would be so controversial. If the compiler won't allow for an easy switch from a modal dialog to modeless then I absolutely rescind the request.

It is not controversial, it just does not make sense.
As xCSxXenon wrote, if you want to see/review the Compare result list, simply first click Compare rather than directly Synchronize.
And as I wrote earlier, the Compare result list does not provide info on the sequence nor progress of the actual synchronization.

Thumbs from me. I've made that request before. Not to be able to 'parse the list' during sync but to be able to see the progress. If I'm not wrong, if you minimize then restore the window, you can see which files have been completed. But you can't scroll the window so can only see that for the first page of the window.
