IDrive backup does not see synced files

I use FreeFileSync, and love it, to update a secondary internal drive and then IDrive to backup that drive to the cloud. IDrive does not detect files updated by FreeFileSync unless I force IDrive to scan the whole drive for updates. If I use Windows 11 to copy files to the secondary drive, with drag and drop, then IDrive does see the changes. I understand that Windows logs file changes that IDrive is apparently using to know what to back up. Does FreeFileSync copy files without Windows recording the actions? If so, is there a FreeFileSync option to write files so that Windows will log the changes? Thanks for your help.

Hi,
idrive can be tricky to use with FFS. I'm not a fan of mixing the two.
I prefer cloud drives that let me map a drive in windows and a folder in Linux and Idrive just doesn't work that way.
You might not find too many idrive users here unfortunately.
Windows should be recognizing everything that FFS does.

Many thanks, John. I ran some experiments and sent the results to IDrive support. They say that they are working on it. I agree that it is their problem.
