First time user and i am trying the mirror function out. Does FFS skip files that already exist or does it overwrite them? I believe i chose the right settings. I am using the mirror option. My use case is I start copying, it scanned and somewhere the transfer failed so i restarted it.
1 Does it resume at the point after rescanning
2 Can you set it to start where it left off?
3 Does it overwrite all files when it starts a job?
Is there someplace that have different configuration tempates?

No. Files only get overwritten if their counterpart is different.

Only if you Pause a sync.
If you close FreeFileSync (FFS) and then open it again, you need to run a renewed Compare.

A re-scan (renewed Compare) does not "remember" the previous Compare or Sync, so FFS does not "resume".
However, items synced in a previous sync will not be synced again, unless one side has been modified since the last sync.
