Exception: Die Installationsdateien sind beschädigt

Hi, this morning I got the following popup from FFS 13.8:

FreeFileSync - Eine Ausnahme ist aufgetreten
Die Installationsdateien sind beschädigt. Bitte installieren Sie FreeFileSync neu.
Die Installation wurde auf einem anderen Betriebssystem registriert.

In fact I had cloned my Windows system disk to a new SSD yesterday (thereby also changing from MBR to GPT partition).
I did reinstall FFS and it works again. But now I am wondering whether other applications might have problems as well.

Can the developer tell us more about what exactly is the source of the problem? Or is it just some licensing issue (I did use the free version but purchased a Business license today).

Likely just licensing, cloning changed the hardware ID and that probably conflicted with the FFS license. For what it's worth, in the last eight years of being in tech support, the only other software I have seen with similar activation issues is Microsoft 365 and QuickBooks. Both are easy fixes though
