What is already available in FFS:

Thanks plerry & xcsxxenon for your pointers !
but a straight forward approach as in ViceVersa software will be really useful & helpful.

Developers, plz consider implementing a robust speed / bandwidth controlling options... from with in GUI.

Of course, we enabled the "Run FFS with Low Priority" option for Windows 11, but it didn’t work in our case. The network is still about 100% utilized. We have large files (50 - 200 GB) to copy, and because of FreeFileSync, the 1GBit network is almost fully used. During this time, no one can work. We had to switch to another program without a user interface. FFS is a great program, many thanks to the developers, but the "Limit Bandwidth function" is indispensable for us.

yes even i face a similar kind of problem !
its so primitive & dumb to use indirect non-working approaches to limit the bandwidth here :(
had to move out of FFS to viceversa software finally !!

I agree a band-width limit built into FFS would be preferred,
but there are several ways to limit bandwidth outside FFS.

I agree this would be a useful feature, this causes an issue when backing up large files and everything other device just stops dead.
An issue with some other solutions is that it affects everything by limiting on the network side so would be nicer if could be on the application side only.
If I understand the BackgroundPriority correctly that will only be implemented is something else on the same device wants a share of bandwidth, this would not see other devices on the network?
