The error message below shows up when installing on Win 7.

Entry point not found, GetSystemTimePreciseAsFileTime could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll

Apparently Microsoft dropped support for Win7/8/8.1 in their latest Visual Studio update. However they still allow the older compiler toolset as an optional download ... for now. I'm not sure how long Win7 will be supported by FreeFileSync, but at least version 14.6 will support it. Fixed. Please download again from the offical homepage.

I have this same issue, and nothing has changed for me. The archive 14.6 download link and the current 14.7 download link still install versions that produce this error.

@SUM1: Maybe you're starting Bin\FreeFileSync_x64.exe directly? With the launcher the 32-bit version should be selected instead.

That's the problem. Since 14.6, the launcher forcibly starts the 32-bit version, which just crashes when performing anything I need due to memory limits. Previously, it would launch the 64-bit version, which is what works for me on my 64-bit system.

But when I try to run the x64 exe manually, I get the error described in this topic.

I notice same problem on 14.7 version. It's strange, when on 64bit OS app run in 32bit version and user should change all "links" (In Windows Task Sheduler, etc...) and launch 64bit version directly.
Edit: I checked and I I already called 64bit ver. directly but error shows, so what now?

Current versions of FFS are limited to (FFS) 32-bit .exe's on Windows 7.

FFS v14.5 was the last version where x64 worked (& also where the VSS feature worked) on Windows 7.
