Hello,
today I found a part of the explanation for errors like the following one.
It happened several times in the past weeks..
-------------
Error Impossible to rename
"/media/michel/DD_PORTABLE/SAUVEGARDES/Documents/FAMILLE/Michel
carte identite recto-927d.ffs_tmp"
to
"Michel carte identite recto.jpg".
Le nom "Michel carte identite recto.jpg" is already used by an other élément.
------------
Looking to the folder where the files impossible to rename I found those two files
- Michel carte identite recto.jpg (carte low case)
- Michel Carte identite recto.jpg (Carte upper case)
So I dicovered that in Linux Mint (with caja), you may have twice the same file in a folder for caja is case sensitive.
And perhaps FreeFileSync is not, since it see "Carte" and "carte" as same words.
Did somebody have this error "[file] is already used by an other élément" ?
Impossible to rename a tmp file

Yep. You are syncing from a location that is case-sensitive to one that is case-insensitive. You should rename the files to have different names
