I managed some very large folders and I use Freefilesync to sync with some folders in google drive, using the desktop app and not the built-in feature in freefilesync. Every so often I am having problems with the lock files (ffs_lock). The problem appears in the google drive end of things, but since it is related to the lock files, maybe other people here have some clues about it.
I have the syncs setup in schedule tasks that run unattended throughout the day. It works pretty much flawlessly for a week or 10 days, but eventually some lock files cannot be synced in google drive. The screenshots below show the errors in google drive.
Even though the error is always the same, with only those lock files getting stuck, most times the sync continues as usual and new files found by FFS are uploaded. However, once in a while the google drive queue is blocked and any files added after are stuck and not synced until the problematic files are cleared. Notice in the image that there are over 2000 files queued but not uploaded.
This is problematic because my intention is to setup the sync as unattended as possible, and sometimes I find out the sync hasn't been working properly for a few days.
Does anyone has experience a similar issue or have any ideas? I have though about disabling the lock files, because I think it would be ok in my case, but if it is possible to fix the issue that would be better.
