Recently i have come across an issue where the ffs db file keeps getting recreated
and the free file sync which is set to update mode keep resyncing everything.
Has anyone come across this issue before and if so, what was done to resolve and the root cause if known.

The FFS database files are created by, and used by FFS.
When running Two-way syncs that is a must; when running other types of sync (Mirror, Update, Custom) it is a selectable option. Except for Two-way syncs, if you un-checkmark "Use database file to detect changes" in your Synchronization Settings (F8), no database files will be created any more.
When you do use "Use database file to detect changes", you should not remove those database files.
