Ciao to everybody.
I'm having a problem with FFF 's speed, and also reading in this forum, looks it is diffused. I usually transfer several GBs data from an external drive (USB3) to a NAS (ETH 2.5Gb - FTP protocol) or viceversa, and achieve a speed of 150/200 MB/sec, then slow down to 0 KB/sec, move on to 150/200 MB/sec and the down again to 0 KB/sec a 0 KB/sec in a continuous cycle.
I have an ext4 drive, the Ethernet switch is connected to the NAS and my PC, which was change twice, the NAS is the latest version (the WD MyCloud EX2 Ultra and the Ugreen DP2800) and contains 2 SATA SSDs of 4GB but the issue is with any drive (also internal to the PC).
This happens both in Fedora (42)and Win 11 and I then believe ios not a problem with the hardware.
I asked (WITH DUE CAUTION!!!) chatGPT with an analysis of the log and says that are not a problem with Linux, or the kernel or buffer, or the disk, or the file system, or the USB, or the NAS, or the Free File Sync is stuck by an internal event ("pipe / eventfd / timerfd using the GUI (wxWidgets)").
I have no idea then how to solve the issue.
Tnx in advance for any help/suggestion and sorry for the horrible English but Google Translator is not woeking well in this moment.

Same here with MacOs.
Since the last update to version 14.7, the software suddenly consumes an excessive amount of resources. A sync process cannot be canceled once started, no other windows can be opened, and the entire computer (MacBook Pro M1) becomes unusable during the comparison and synchronization. Furthermore, the entire comparison process has become extremely slow.
I haven't changed any settings in the program; I only performed the update.
After downgrading to version 14.6, everything is back to normal.
