I'm trying to sync my iCloud Drive folder in Windows 11 Home with a NAS. Unfortunately, it's not working at the moment. Is this not supported by FreeFileSync?

Hi,

Ffs does not directly manage cloud storage such as iCloud you would need to have an iCloud program on your PC in order to access your iCloud files.

Can you presently access your iCloud files from the Windows File explorer?

If you can see your iCloud files in Windows File Explorer you should be able to use FFS by simply pointing to the appropriate folders.

Unlikely. The iCloud client might display the files/photos, but they are most likely not actually stored on your device until you open them. OneDrive has an option to download all cloud files to fix this, I couldn't tell you if iCloud also does. I doubt it, worst cloud storage provider ever

I just checked and the default setting in the Apple software for Windows that lets you access iCloud is on demand file access so the files are normally in the cloud only until they are accessed then they get downloaded temporarily.
This is not an ideal situation for synchronizing your data to an alternate location.

There is an option however to specify specific folders and files that you would like to have on the computer all the time and this is what you need to do.

✔ How to force full local sync
In File Explorer:
1. Open iCloud Drive.
2. Right‑click any folder or file.
3. Choose “Always keep on this device.”

Windows will then download and keep those items locally.

Give that a try and see if it helps.
