I remove all exclusions and FreeeFileSync still doesn't recognize many files and folders. For example in
C:\Users\George\ no files show up, and some folders are missing. Other folders which do show up such as
C:\Users\George\Downloads is a folder with many sub folders, none of which are even listed
C:\Users\George\Desktop is another empty folder according to FreeFileSync.
What am I missing?

I went back to the synchronized of folder C:\Users\George\Downloads and it exists. Files were actually copied into this folder in July of 2025. This is the time right before I updated to Windows 11. I don't recall what version of FreeFileSync I was using then. I have used FreeFileSync about once a month since then.
If I try to compare C:\Users\George\Downloads as part of a complete synchronization of drive C:\ it does not do anything to the old synchronized file. If I just compare C:\Users\George\Downloads to it's counterpart I receive a message that the files are too different and do I really want to mirror them. Perhaps that's the problem.

I'm sorry, it showed zero. I removed items from my Include List and found when I removed \ProgramData\ from the list it not only solved the problem, but it opened up many more folders and files which had not been synchronized. Thank you for your assistance.
