I have a donation version of FFS on my home PC. However, my laptop says it's not the donation version. Do I need to donate again (per PC) if I need the same version I have at home?

Apparently you installed the FFS Standard edition on your laptop.
You have three options:
1) If you kept the installation files of your Donation edition, use those to also install FFS .
on your laptop
2) Click the link in the E-mail you received after donating
3) Open your installed FFS Donation Edition on your home PC and in the top menu go to Help / About. In the bottom-left of the "About" screen that opens you see a button "Thank you {your name] for your support". Click that button.
Either 2) or 3) above should bring you to your Donation Edition download page, that has the form
https://freefilesync.org/thank-you.php?tx=[Your 18 digit/character unique code]
(Save that page-link as a bookmark or shortcut for potential future use).
Download the relevant, most recent installation files of your Donation edition, and install those on your laptop.
