How to install donation edition over free version

I first tried the free edition and set it up across my PCs. I liked it so I made a donation but never installed that version. Can I download the latest donation version or simply install the 14.2 version I already have and let it auto update? How do I install the donation version over the already installed free version?

Either of the two should work.
But for downloading the latest donation version you should use the link to your personal download page, as provided in the E-mail you received after downloading, and not download from the standard edition download page.
