Waiting until all directories are available

I am using RealTimeSync and it is amazing, I set it up on my Data Server which back up all of the 20 computers in my company via network....... BUT there is one thing that is bothering me and that is call "Waiting until all directories are available" this thing is really pestering me a lot.

That only appear when one of the computer is offline or switched off.
E.g it is doing scanning and backing up from PC-01 to PC-11 (which they are turned on) but PC-12 is offline (switched off) and the RealTimeSync won't ignore nor skip the offline PC such as PC-12 so it won't continue scanning and backing up the rest of the PC-13 to PC-20

If you guys found a way, Please let me know in the comment.

I already checked there is not ignore or skip function in the software.
I wish they add that function in the next update.
I'm willing to pay for it.

Apparently you have defined multiple left-righ base location pairs, all combined in a single FreeFileSync (FFS) *.ffs_gui or *.ffs_batch sync configuration, and then used that to create your RealTimeSync (RTS) *.ffs_real monitoring configuration.
Those multiple left-right base location pairs involve locations on each of your PCs.
e.g. pair 1: PC-01 <=> PC-02, pair 2: PC-03 <=> PC-04, etc.

The solution to your problem is to split your multiple left-right pair FFS sync configuration in separate FFS *.ffs_gui or *.ffs_batch sync configurations, each only consisting of left-right pairs that are on-line simultaneously; if necessary only consisting of a single left-right pair.
Then, for each of your separate sync configurations create an individual RTS *.ffs_real monitoring configuration that, upon detection of changes in its monitored folders (or when a monitored resource comes on-line), launches its corresponding FFS sync configuration.

You can have multiple simultaneously active instances of RTS, each one monitoring different locations.
Similarly, you can have multiple simultaneously active instances of FFS, each one syncing different location.

I have already create RTS batch file from FFS into one big RTS batch file, what you saying is that I have to create all 20 RTS batch file of all 20 computers which can impact the system load up and reduce the performance of the server let alone that thing will be running other features and functions.

I don't think that will be practical, also the company will be expending more computers like 30 more computers on its way.

I don't think there will be a solution unless RTS implement a feature that can skip or ignore "Waiting until all directories are available" but thanks man, your method is an alternative way of solving this issue but that is not for me tho..

Assuming that is actually what happens when a volume is or goes offline,
then to me,

implement a feature that can skip or ignore "Waiting until all directories are available"

is a legitimate RFE.


(Also, some time back, there was odd happenings when a volume when offline - after the scan had completed.)


There was some other software... that failed to even open... when it couldn't load offline volumes... (which was not a very nice UX).

notepad++.exe HANGS when trying to open, C:\DEV\BACKUP\FreeFileSync\GlobalSettings.xml ???
seems to have to do with, session.xml-CAUSE HANG ON OPEN ???
- seems to have to do with "OFFLINE" volumes; i.e. \\NAS
        - i have /yet/ to log into it...
