Failed to activate FreeFileSync.
i get this back:
The FreeFileSync Business Edition was licensed for 2 device, but is already installed on 2 device:

I tried to 'remove' the 'existing' device via the FreeFileSync website, but am getting the message "The device cannot be removed before October 1st, 2026."

Is there any other path wehre i can look and delete the activation information from the device ?
i want to delete the device with 77 at the end.

I've removed the entry manually once more. If it comes up again, then there is an active FreeFileSync process still running on this machine.

Control Pannel  programs and features  no entry from freefilesync
C:\Program Files  no folder from freefilesync
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming  no folder from freefilesync

Is there any other entry on the device, where i can look an delete activation information, for example in the registry?

Please help. I must remove it permanently on this device.

FreeFileSync must be located *somewhere*. If you search all the files on your hard drive, it should be found.

I have searched for *FreeFileSync, *.ffs_batch and *.ffs_real on my C: Drive and found nothing. Please can you remove it one more time manually. I will test it again to see if it works. Thanks

how is that possible, i dont turned my device (nb6163..) since the 9.september on. I just logged in with another device and i see the activation is already there? is there maybe any way to remove permanently the device? please help, i need the second activation for another employee in the company.

Perhaps there's a script running that installs FreeFileSync automatically on this device via Microsoft MECM? Whatever it is, the nb6163 device is running FreeFileSync repeatedly.

now we changed some configurations and want to test ist. please remove the device once more manually. if this doesn't work: is there any way to block the device PERMANENTLY, that no activation in future with this device is possible?
and can you tell me on which date and clock the last activation from this device?

Why was the license activated on my device on September 14 if it hadn't been turned on since September 9? How is it possible for a device that was turned off on September 14 to activate automatically? Logically, there could not have been any communication with the license server on September 14 because the device was turned off.

FreeFileSync was installed on the nb6163 device on 2026-09-14 04:14:20 UTC. Perhaps you have some VM or "cloned" device that somehow could have been misidentified as nb6163 that has FreeFileSync installed?

but that's unfortunately not the solution. I see the device nb6163 was activated again. Is there any way to remove the device nb6163.. permanently? Please help. I don't know where to look else on the client. I tried and removed everthing with freefilesync.
