Batch jobs run from GUI but not scheduler

I'm under Windows 10 with a new install of FFS. My job runs ok in the GUI, the batch job runs if I launch it in explorer, but my scheduled task doesn't run (or maybe more accurately does run but doesn't do anything? This is unclear.).

It's running under my user account, the computer is always logged on. The only wrinkle is my account is passwordless, but I set the registry key to make the task anyways. I tried having the task run as SYSTEM but no difference.

Is there special settings I'm missing?
Where can I see logs of what might be going wrong?
