Hi,
there is a problem exiting FFS. When i close it (either by using the menu or by using cmd-Q), one process of FFS remains active. While FFS runs, there are two processes name FreeFileSync in the Activity Monitor, and when i close FFS, one of them remains. This is mainly a problem when updating FFS, because i have to kill it by myself, but i think a program should be able to shutdown itself completely.
I am on OS X 10.9.1, running FFS 6.1 (but the problem has been on the earlier versions too).
Regards
Matthias

This behavior is similar like for other document-based applications like safari. Even when when all dialogs are closed, the main application is still running as can be seen by a marker in the OS X dock. This marker is not shown for FFS, but I'm not sure if that's more than a cosmetical issue. Generally, this second FreeFileSync monitoring process is needed in order to handle mouse double-clicks on .ffs_gui and .ffs_batch files correctly.
