How to protect from Crypto viruses?

Is there an easy way to protect the syncing from Crypto viruses? That means that a target NAS should not be mapped into a Windows PC as a network drive but the sync to a target (NAS) should be done with either different credentials or other protocol. In the first case the credentials should be saved somewhere inside (crypted?) in the freefilesync program and a connection is only opened for this purpose. Sounds laborious. Any other suggestions?
