Dear Free File Sync,
Request for Enhancements (RFE):
I have had to remove Free File Sync (FFS) do to problems with it. I am sorry, I really tried. Would you please consider the following enhancements to FFS to bring it up to more universally usable state?
1) install a real "bugzilla" so that bugs and RFE's don't have to go on a discussion site. This is a much more professional approach than using a discussion site.
2) Arhcives is a nice feature. Gives history. Problem: too much of a good thing. Please add the ability to cull the archives by archive size and/or date.
3) FFS only uses Volume Shadow Copy when it finds a lock on a file. This causes programs that want to
lock a part of a file that FFS is in the process of copying/analyzing to crash. Please change or give the option to "always" use volume shadow copy. It would be bice if this were the default. It would keep folks out of a lot of trouble.
4) set up "include" to supercede "exclude". That way you could exclude everything, then include only the things you want back. Currently "exclude" supercedes "include".

Regarding your item 4), your request seems to be based on a misconception
on how the include and exclude filters work and how to use them.

Regarding your item 3), your request makes a lot of sense
and I fully second it as an option.
As the default, it might create a lot of (mostly) unnecessary overhead.
