XML Comment Tags

Hello Zenju,
when i use a comment in any xml file of FreeFileSync, and i load this file to FreeFileSync for testing, all comments are deleted.
And in the GlobalSettings.xml to. (%appdata%\FreeFileSync\GlobalSettings.xml)
Can you change this to: Never touch: < ! - - * - - > in xml File/s?
I had to add extra spaces so that it appears here ;-)
That would be very helpful for me, and I hope for others too.

Otherwise, the best synchronization program that I have ever used.
In particular, the speed is really awesome. The Batch scripting options are really good...
I've seen this in the 5.19 batch scripting has been further improved, very nice...

I fear it's not possible (read: "without heroic efforts") to preserve XML comments. Currently the FFS XML parser just ignores comments. The XML DOM is unaware of comments (this could be implemented without too much hustle). But the real showstopper are FFS's internal data structures which are a slight variation of the XML format and are not designed to have comments.

i understand the Problem. Then I'll just copy the XML file before, then I can add my comments again.
