in previous versions, I pressed enter right after launching freefilesync and it started comparison, with 7.1 it opens settings dialog. Please change the default button back to compare

Makes sense, at least partially I guess. But there may be scenarios where it's better to restore the focus to the old control.e.g. navigating the config list or tree panel, then press F5 to start comparison.
I've implemented the following logic for the next release:

1. comparison is cancelled: restore focus to the control that had focus when starting comparison.
2. comparison succeeded and focus was on comparison button: set focus to sync button
3. comparison succeeded and focus was not on comparison button: restore focus to the control that had focus when starting comparison.
