Can you please let me know how I can overcome this?
'H' is my external drive connected by USB for backing up.

I'm trying to synchronize data on my laptop to an external USB drive.

Thanking you in advance.

Can you give some more information about your setup and the specific file that triggers the error?

oops, I am getting this error too while testing the symbolic link syncing between
2 drives.

8:42:47 AM Error Cannot create symbolic link "G:\Canon5D2_2014\201406th\Darkroom\20141017_test_cplink\IMG_6425.CR2".
Error Code 1314: A required privilege is not held by the client. (CreateSymbolicLinkW)
8:42:47 AM Error Synchronization stopped

Syncing is from W: drive to G: drive.
1 symbolic link IMG_6425.CR2 is on W: drive.
FFS symbolic link handling set to "Direct"
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 service pack 1

Maybe it needs admin access and I need to press "yes" somehow. I am the admin anyway.

Thanks!

Got it working now. Just run FFS as admin:

Right click on FFS shortcut on desktop and select properties. And under compatibility, check
"run this program as an admin"
