Syncing 4TB lasts 1 1/2 day - heating problems for external harddiscs?

Hi,

at first: Thank you for this great piece of software, which I use since years.

Some days ago I bought a second 4 TB external harddisk. I synced the content of the first harddisk to this new device with FreeFileSync. Because I have only a USB 2 connection, the sync lasts 1 1/2 days ...
Is such a long sync problematical for a harddisc (2 x WD My Book 4 TB) with no extra fan? If this is so, I would like to suggest an option to pause the syncing after a while for some minutes, if it is forseeable that is lasts very long.
